Updates and Resets

2018 is getting closer and closer to ending, and Lion and I are spending some of the time to reset and refresh. It's been a little rough the past few months and we know that we need to reboot a few things before it gets too hard to try to.Rabbit Tales has been, and probably always will be, a multi craft company. I personally have too many hobbies to keep count ("Collecting hobbies is my hobby" and "I'm Pancraftsual" are statements I say constantly on my stream) and Lion has been getting the craft itch the longer we're married. We see no reason to change that, but we are working on focusing and honing the ideas so we're not so all over the place.Currently, I'm working on expanding and explaining Rabbit Tales and the idea of the name and what it really means. The "Tales" part was always meant to be explained better since I consider all my different crafts to be different chapters of me that I can always go and expand on. Although a lot of people catch the play on words and I get a chance to explain this idea, I've never really hashed it out past "every craft is a new chapter." It's a huge work in progress, but it's getting a fair bit of head way. With this explanation expansion, this also means that the business as a whole is getting a huge clean up and work on as well. You have the move the house to reset the foundation. Several projects may be getting scrubbed in the future while new projects will get added to the front view. If you're not following us on social medias, I would suggest following us soon so you can know as things change. If you're interested in getting news first, we also have a Facebook group and a Discord server available now as well.As we continue on through this process of adjusting, we hope you'll understand if things are erratic and off the wall as we try to clean, sort, organize, and reset.Personal Update:We have a new cat! We've chatted about this on Twitter and on personal pages, but we'd like everyone else to know this for a few reasons. First is a warning to cat allergic people: we always strive our best to make sure cat hair is cleared from any commissions, but with two cats, this may be a little harder. Order at your own risk. The second is just as a heads up that we've been a little preoccupied with make sure our two cats will get a long. Saffron, our original cat has been a solo cat for so long that he is not happy with a new cat in his territory. The process is slow, exhausting, but progress is getting made.20181107_165020.jpgThis is SnaggleTooth. Lovingly nicknamed, and now named, because every so often his lower tooth would life his upper lip and give him a snaggle tooth look. He was, we thought a stray, but was always so cuddly and friendly to us when we went outside. We'd seen him around our house for over a year and didn't know much more past that. A few weeks back, we saw a nasty wound on his side and Lion and I knew we couldn't let him stay outside with a wound like that.We went to the vet and found out he was chipped! After contacting the chip company, we learned that A- the chip wasn't updated for 3 years, and B - he was born in 2002! 16 years old!! The chip company left a voicemail for the owners and gave them my contact information. The next day, the owners actually called us back. Come to find out, he was meant to be an indoor cat, but they have dogs and dog doors so he's just walk out of the house for days/weeks on end. The couple also had a 1 year old child and "they haven't been able to give him the care he really needs." They're also our next door neighbors. No joke.Come to find out, they've been talking about possibly re-homing him since he's been getting out so much and all that jazz. So, he's now ours. He currently has a safe spot in Lion's office that his all his to enjoy while we slowly introduce the cats and try to make them love each other.
